{"id":290,"date":"2019-02-20T04:29:04","date_gmt":"2019-02-20T04:29:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beintea.ca\/?p=290"},"modified":"2019-02-11T04:30:15","modified_gmt":"2019-02-11T04:30:15","slug":"how-do-black-and-green-teas-differ","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beintea.ca\/fr\/how-do-black-and-green-teas-differ\/","title":{"rendered":"How Do Black and Green Teas Differ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are a few differences between green and black tea; the major \none is that black tea requires a lengthier production process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While\n tea leaves are heated almost immediately in the process of making green\n tea, the leaves for black tea are first dried in the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \nwithered leaves are then rolled to break their cells, which causes the \nleaves to oxidize quicker when they are (next) exposed to oxygen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This\n exposure takes place in hot rooms to accelerate the oxidation of the \nleaves, and it turns them a dark red\/brown color. At this point, the tea\n is heated to stop the oxidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Black tea has a host of research\n behind it, and systematic reviews show that it can reduce blood \npressure, lower type 2 diabetes risk, and improve the cholesterol \nprofile<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are a few differences between green and black tea; the major one is that black tea requires a lengthier production process.
